New Year! New Look!

After my long hiatus away from this baby, I’m back and giving it a much needed update. It’s time it got the care and attention it deserved. But first a quick recap! Why I stopped blogging If you read my last post dated in May, I entered a new transition to focus on my ‘new career’. So I decided to devote myself to meeting the needs of new clients and new projects over a couple of months. It paid off. I gave it every minute I could, learned a lot and felt the sweet satisfaction of getting rewarded for my work. Towards the end of the year, I made it my new years resolution to focus on what really matters to me and pivoting on my goals. One of which was to come back to Eat Sleep Play Blog and create the type of content that inspires me. What to expect Honestly, I haven’t planned it all out yet. I’ve always been part organic and I love the surprise element that it brings. It’s also been a …

Behind the scenes – Pascaline Paris Lookbook shooting

My first shoot with Pascaline Paris’ collection was definitely a growing experience. Changing in the car for instance is definitely not easy. I learned that San Francisco weather is definitely not the most forgiving when it comes to staying warm. It was super windy out in the Presidio where we shot. I definitely wish I had a coat but these photos in the wind still turned out pretty cool. I’ve never modeled before so it was funny to see how many awkward poses, expressions (mostly sad looking) and angles came out of the hundreds of photos taken. Like these… And at the end of the day (Sorry Pascaline), here I am back in the clothes which I don’t need to worry about getting dirty. I mean, as much as I love the outfits I was wearing, how can I expect to wear dresses or white pants when I’m with my toddler boy most of the day??? 🙂 It was a lot of fun! And although this might not be a regular thing, I was really glad I …

Bitte Summer 2016 Collection Launch Party

Summer is almost here. Can you believe it? Which means planning family vacations is just around the corner. Or if you’re like me, you’re just trying to get through the week and leave the planning to the husband! Last week I attended my first press event at Chantal Guillion on Howard St. hosted by mom and entrepreneur Maia, co-founder of Bitte. She had a full sample of the summer collection set up beautifully inside. There was a photo-booth, a macaron decorating activity, cute gift bags, and plenty of macarons and champaign – definitely enough to make us bloggers and moms very happy! It was a great chance to meet new people, dream up reasons why I should shop at Bitte and practice taking photos. I finally had a chance to upload some photos from the event: The summer collection is now available on www.bitteshop.com. I’m starting to shop at Bitte for birthday gifts and baby showers too now. The site is really easy to navigate and convenient. The only minor thing is the wait for shipping. …

Looking at 2016 and what to (hopefully) expect from Eat Sleep Play Blog

I know we haven’t even reached Christmas yet, but i’m already getting anxious about 2016! Why? Well, first of all, I just passed my 32nd birthday. It’s a strange feeling, but a good one. I feel like i’m ready for the next thing. Time waits for no one. Of course there are a few things that are keeping me from jumping ahead of myself, like my family/domestic life, but it gives me some time to collect my thoughts and plan. Want to know the second reason? I’m no longer working at War Foodie. Yes, my time there was short and sweet.  I could go on and on about the experience and what I learned, but that’s not what this post is about. Anyways, I’m back to the drawing board of thinking about work and what to look for next. More on all these things later. Right now, I thought i’d give myself some time to focus on my blog and how to sustain it. If you’ve been following, you’ll be able to tell i’ve been exploring and trying out different things. This …
